What is Becks Lake? Where is it? Why is it important?
Many believe that Becks Lake and the
Escambia River are ecological treasures, especially the part of the River that lies between the Old Monsanto
docks and Molino. This part of Escambia County is not well known to the general public who have no idea of
the beauty and ecological diversity that is present in our own backyard.
The Escambia River, all of it, is the 4th largest River in Florida and is very diverse. Industrial in
the south, and small creeks and streams in the far north almost to Montgomery and Tallassee, AL. It is a
huge watershed and is known as one of the best fishing rivers in the Southeast......

FISHING REPORT - Why waste gas to get to where the action is - launch at Becks Fish Camp and you're there!
For over 50 years "Becks Lake", really a large deep bayou of the Escambia River, has been the favorite place for most area fresh water anglers!
Becks Lake is declared by many for over 50 years to be the best fishing spot in Northwest Florida. Bank fishing has been good as well as by boat.
Even if the Century gauge is low, we may not be, and the same goes for high water. The water levels in the lower river don't fluctuate like the upper River.
We're closer to Escambia Bay and get some tidal action but we're still fresh water and old timers tell us we're in the BEST part.
Call Joanne @ 850-375-0383 for a current river and fishing report.
HORSE RIDES ARE NOW BEING HELD AGAIN ON THE BECKS FISH CAMP 400+ ACRES! as of February, 2021, we are now able to
host Iron Horse Stables to conduct trail rides on our many trails and waterfront areas of the property. Give Sudie at Iron Horse Stables a call at 850-982-0954 for more information.
No Florida Fishing License is required for fresh water fishing with non-reel pole and natural bait (You must live in Escambia County).
Explore the "Lake", Explore the Escambia River! We're the only Public freshwater fishing, boating, hiking & camping area close to Pensacola on the Escambia River!
NEWS FROM BECKS LAKE ........
Please note that all RV & Group Camping Fees include bank fishing,
picnicking and hiking. They do not include Boat Ramp fee, which is extra. Monthly RV Rates, as well as the
annual pass, includes free use of the boat ramp.
Fish, Hunt and Explore the historic Escambia River from Becks Lake Fish Camp! We invite you to
experience a great naturalist area with access to over 35,000 acres of fishing and natural beauty by visiting Becks Lake Fish Camp.
Becks Lake Fish Camp is set among Live Oaks dripping Spanish Moss on a bayou-river setting of a network of
pristine waterways that are teaming with Bass, Bream, Crappie, Bluegill, Shellcracker and much more! Natural Bayous were enlarged during the Northwest Florida Lumber
Boom of the late 1880's and now the fish flock to this area because of our deep and still waters. Those looking for more adventure and fishing
opportunities have but to motor or paddle a short distance to the Escambia River, the 4th largest river in Florida and considered the best
fishing river by the State.
Hunters are telling us that we're the perfect spot to use as
"base camp" for duck and other hunting in the Escambia River Wildlife Management Area!
We have over 2 miles of water frontage with a boat launch & storage, fishing, group activity areas, a group primitive camping area,
hiking trails, and limited RV sites. There's over a mile of exceptional water frontage in the "lake" and a beautiful half mile deep channel connects our "lake" with the Escambia River.
Unlike most boat launch and waterfront areas, the property manager lives and works on-site and you can have more peace
of mind about leaving your vehicle unattended.

Becks Fish Camp is close to all major area attractions, including Pensacola Beach, Historic Downtown Pensacola,
and the Creek Indian Casino just a few miles north in Atmore, AL. It is known by the locals as the gateway to the heart of the 35,000 acres of the Escambia River Delta, this is "the" place to embark
on a river "oddessy", fish your little heart out, or just paddle around in our waterways.

~ FRESH FROM THE FARM - 3/18/2013 ~
We are sad to report that Billy passed away in February 2016. The goats were sold
off and the farm portion of the Nature Park is undergoing a transition at this time.
We hope to have garden and nursery activity underway soon.
It's the perfect place for family outings, boating clubs, corporate retreats, Church & Civic groups,
and everyone that wants to enjoy Nature at her finest! One lady recently went out in the Bayou in her fishing kayak and was so entralled by the beauty
that she said she almost forgot that she was there to fish!
The Boat Ramp (with access to the Escambia River), Bank Fishing areas, hiking trails,
primitive camp sites and picnic areas are now open. We also have waterfront areas that can be rented for kayak and canoe
cook-outs and similar festivities.
Bring your own boat or fish from the beautiful waterfront park at the end of the road. Either way you can
enjoy the beautiful bayou.
Rules and fee information are located on a board a short distance after you go through the main gate and can be accessed
on-line by these links:
